Our first Science Experiment!

This week in Nursery we have been reading Red Rockets and Rainbow Jelly. We blasted off and went to the moon, we painted rockets and even made some rocket models. Then on Friday we carried out our very first science experiment, which you can watch.

Meet our Nursery Class Dog

We are very excited to tell you that we now have a name for our new class dog.

After a lot of discussion and a class vote we have all agreed on Peppa.

Very soon Peppa will be coming to spend the night at your house.

In Peppa's blue bag you will find his diary.

Please feel free to tell us what Peppa and your child have been up to.

We would love it to include drawings and photos.

Have fun!

New beginnings

A big hello to all the new children and their families of Howes Nursery.
Mrs McCarthy and Mrs Nelson are really looking forward to working with you all this year.
We have put together this information to let you know what we get up to the Nursery.

First thing in the morning the children hang up their coats on their pegs and then put the photo and name on the ladybird so we know who is in.

We then get down to serious playing! We can the choose to play with lots of different things. We can play with the train sets and cars

or we can play in the home corner.

We have lots of books around the classroom and we have a comfy book corner with cushions and a sofa, so we can relax and read a book.

Very soon we will start sending home books for your child to share with you at home, as well as having a share a book morning where Mums and Dads can spend the first 15 minutes of the morning reading a book to your child and their friends. We will be in touch about these two initiatives very soon.
